EZ-EKG (“the app”) is developed by Fenetre Group LLC. This policy explains what the app does with your data. The short version: your recordings stay on your phone.
The app reads heart rate, RR intervals and, from a Polar H10, the ECG waveform from a Bluetooth sensor you connect to it. That data is stored only in the app's private storage on your device. The app has no account system and no server of its own, and it does not transmit your health data anywhere.
It does not collect analytics, crash reports, advertising identifiers, location, contacts, or any data other than what the sensor sends. It contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or advertising software.
When you export a recording, the file is handed to the app or the folder you choose. From that point it is governed by that app's or service's policy, not this one.
The Pro unlock is a one-time purchase sold through Google Play. Google processes the payment and tells the app whether the purchase is active; the app never receives your payment details. The Google Play Billing software inside the app communicates with Google Play to check and complete purchases, and sends Google its own service diagnostics. Google's privacy policy governs that transaction and those diagnostics.
On Android 8 to 11 the operating system requires the location permission before an app may scan for Bluetooth devices. The app uses it only to find your sensor. It never reads, stores or sends your location. On Android 12 and later the app declares that its Bluetooth scanning is never used to derive location, and asks for no location permission at all.
Delete individual recordings inside the app, or uninstall the app to remove everything it has stored. Nothing is left on a server, because there is no server.
The app is not directed at children under 13 and is not designed for them.
Any change to this policy will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
